SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 12, 2025 –Hankook Tire has recently unveiled two new additions to its Dynapro line of SUV and light truck tires: the Dynapro evo AS and the Dynapro HT2. These new models join the existing Dynapro AT2, Dynapro MT2, Dynapro HP2, and Dynapro RA33, creating a comprehensive range of six tires designed to meet the diverse needs of SUV and light truck owners.
The Dynapro evo AS is an all-season tire engineered for enhanced performance in dry and wet conditions. Compared to the current segment leader, Hankook's testing shows that the Dynapro evo AS improves dry braking by 3% and wet braking by an impressive 6%. This enhanced braking performance is attributed to an optimized groove design and contact patch that removes acute corners from the tread's lateral grooves. This design not only enhances safety but also contributes to a quieter ride, improved mileage, and even wear.
The Dynapro HT2 builds upon the success of its predecessor, the Dynapro HT, by offering a 70,000-mile limited treadwear warranty for passenger sizes. This extended tread life is a result of improvements in the tire's profile, pattern, and compound applications, resulting in a 13% increase in mileage compared to the previous generation. The Dynapro HT2 also boasts significant enhancements in winter performance, with a 6% increase in snow acceleration, 7% improvement in snow handling, and a 9% boost in snow braking. Additionally, wet handling and braking have been improved by 7% and 6%, respectively.
"Our Dynapro line, which caters exclusively to the SUV and light truck segments, has continued to be a source of exceptional pride and innovative growth here at Hankook Tire," said Rob Williams, president of Hankook Tire America Corp.
The Dynapro evo AS is currently available in 26 sizes ranging from 19 inches to 22 inches, while the Dynapro HT2 offers 55 sizes from 15 inches to 22 inches, ensuring a wide range of fitments for various SUV and light truck models.
Ventus evo UHP: High-Performance Summer Tire for Driving Enthusiasts
Hankook also introduced the Ventus evo UHP, a new ultra-high-performance summer tire designed for driving enthusiasts seeking superior performance and handling. This tire features a transverse drainage system and widening lateral grooves that expand under heavy braking, providing exceptional traction and control in wet conditions. The reinforced and flattened side profile enhances cornering stability at high speeds, instilling confidence in drivers pushing the limits. Compared to its predecessor, the Ventus evo demonstrates a 7% improvement in wet braking, 4% enhancement in wet handling, 6% boost in dry braking, and a remarkable 32% increase in mileage.
"The Ventus portfolio has always been synonymous with high performance," added Williams. "Much like its sport and supercar OE partnerships, the Ventus evo's new aerodynamically improved sidewall styled with Vanta Velvet graphics makes it look incredibly fast when standing still and even more so when in motion."
The Ventus evo is available in 22 sizes for rim sizes ranging from 18 inches to 20 inches. Additionally, an SUV configuration is offered in seven sizes, supporting rim sizes of 18 inches, 20 inches, and 21 inches.
