In January 2023 Nimbus Boats will bring nine new models to the Rhine but one boat really stands out from the line: the Nimbus C8, the third boat in the Nimbus Commuter line will be exhibited as a global launch. As the most compact boat it follows on from the re-designed Nimbus C9 models (which will also be on show) and the Nimbus C11.
For Scandinavians the Nimbus C8 is ideal for commuting to their summer homes and workplaces. For boaters in the rest of Europe this launch is a weekender for shorter trips with overnight stays, and always with the family. Here, comfort comes care of the double bed in the forecastle cabin with separate bathroom, a folding couch on the aft deck for guests in summer, and a compact pantry – resembling the Bullerbü look & feel in Astrid Lindgren’s books.
Speeds of over 40 knots are possible thanks to the extremely low sliding threshold of her razor-blade hull. The ideal cruising speed is between 20 and 35 knots.
Next to the global launch Nimbus C8, other sporty models will be on show in the exhibition halls on the Rhine: the latest boats in the C, T and W lines will close the gap left by the legendary R series. These include the Nimbus T8 for all types of day activities on the water, the weekender Nimbus W9, a small cruiser for active boaters, the Nimbus T9 tender with walkaround deck, the larger Nimbus C9commuter and the biggest tender of this Swedish shipyard, the Nimbus T11.
