Quarken - the new motorboat brand is linguistically derived from Kwarken, as the Finns call the Gulf of Bothnia. The 27-foot model is the first day boat that the Finns are now presenting. It comes in three versions: the open Quarken 27 Open, the Quarken 27 T-Top with GRP roof and the all-weather Quarken 27 Cabin with closed wheelhouse.
The complete trio is coming to Düsseldorf for the first time. All three 27-foot boats are adapted to the new V6 outboard from Yamaha with 300 hp. This enables the Quarken 27 to reach a speed of up to 45 knots. At cruising speed, which should be about a third lower, the boat consumes about 1.5 litres per nautical mile, according to the shipyard.
In the standard layout, there is an open stern and a passageway on the port side connecting the bow and aft decks. The deck area is variable: small or larger sunbathing areas are possible in the bow and stern. Behind the steering position is a sofa with seating for a total of eight.
In the bow area there is a cabin with a double berth and a separate sanitary area. It is part of the Weekend Package (extra charge), as is an open-air shower at the stern, fresh water tank and shore power connection. The convenience package includes bow thruster, trim tabs, Garmin plotter with sonar, audio system and inductive charging function for smartphones.
