Bavaria SR 33

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

Bavaria will be presenting the smallest motor yacht in its SR line as a world premiere in Düsseldorf. Boasting four full-sized berths, the 11.40 m long Bavaria SR 33 is a space-saving wonder. Her silhouette strongly resembles that of her bigger sisters – Bavaria SR36 and Bavaria SR 41 – which will also be exhibited on the Rhine. No wonder: her design came care of the same designer – Marco Casali.

The new Axopar 45 is the world’s biggest outboard cabin yacht with 45-foot LOA. This slender yacht with a sporty silhouette offers a good alternative to bigger and more expensive motor yachts. And the best part: with three Mercury V8 300 Verado outboard motors this boat is also one of the most efficient 45-foot yachts on the market, by the shipyard’s account.

X-Shore from Sweden has built not only sustainable but also smart powerboats since 2016. To ensure electric motors become mainstream they have set a low price for their new tender model X-Shore 1. Paying from EUR 99,000 owners will get a 6.50 m long, open-deck electric boat that covers up to 50 nautical miles at a reasonable travel speed per battery charge. Or reaches a top speed of 30 knots alternatively.

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

The next smallest Delphia 10 Loungetop will also see its Düsseldorf debut in January 2023. With a beam of 3.49 m and LOA of 9.78 m the boat is offered in three versions: Lounge, Loungetop and Sedan.

The Lounge version is purely a day cruiser and comes with an open cockpit. The Loungetop version is delivered with an extended roof that can be equipped with photovoltaics. These boats not only score points with explorers of inland waterways: both e-yachts can also cruise outside coastal waters in line with Category C.

Bénéteau makes Delphia Yachts the hallmark of sustainability: the new “hiking” and cruising boats for inland waterways come with electric motors – 100% from 2024. Delphia is the figurehead for mindful cruising. Mindful here primarily means noiseless and zero-emission cruising thanks to the fully electric drive by Torqeedo.

Candela C-8

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

Candela founder Gustav Hasselskog had announced the launch for this spring – and he kept his promise. Not with a big bang, but with an almost noiseless ‘floating’, a new chapter was added to powerboating. The foiling speedboat Candela C-8 masterly lifted out of the water to foil over the Baltic Sea off Stockholm piloted by Gustav Hasselskog himself.

Axopar Boats presents the prototype of the Axopar 25 Electric in cooperation with the Norwegian e-motor producer Evoy. With this move the Scandinavians combine the versatile thrill seeker Axopar 25, which is both safe and sporty to sail, with the environmental friendliness of an electrical outboard motor.

Wellcraft 355

Submitted by J. Mikhail on

Wellcraft defies the elements: by launching the Wellcraft 355 the US subsidiary of Bénéteau kicks off a powerful series of deckhouse yachts. In the USA this brand is known for fast, open powerboats. With their latest model the Americans are now boldly pushing the envelope.

The Wellcraft 355 is not only the shipyard’s biggest powerboat at present, but also the first with a closed deckhouse. With this move Wellcraft wants to offer boats to people who also like boating in inhospitable climes and heavy seas.
