SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Jan. 23, 2025 – The Alpine ELF Rally Trophy is gearing up for its fifth thrilling season in 2025, bringing new challenges and exciting opportunities for competitors. Organized within the FFSA French Rally Championship, this year's competition will feature a unique format, welcoming both the A110 Rally and the A110 Rallye GT+. The battle to succeed past champions Julien Saunier, Grégory Fontalba, and Pierre Roché will commence at the Rallye Rhône Charbonnières from April 24-26.
A Legacy of Rallying Excellence
Alpine has a rich history in rallying, notably winning the first World Rally Championship title in 1973. The Alpine ELF Rally Trophy embodies this legacy, demonstrating the brand's enduring commitment to the sport. Since its inception in 2021, the Trophy has provided a platform for drivers of all levels to hone their skills and compete on France's most demanding rally stages.
The A110 Rallye GT+ Joins the Competition
This year marks a significant expansion for the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy, with the introduction of the A110 Rallye GT+ category. Launched in 2024, the A110 Rallye GT+ has quickly proven its competitive edge, securing an overall victory at the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine with renowned driver Sébastien Loeb at the helm.
To ensure fair competition, organizers will provide comprehensive technical support across the service park, including a dedicated spare parts shop at each round. This commitment to driver support has been a hallmark of the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy since its inaugural season.
New Categories and Prize Structure
In addition to the overall standings, drivers will compete within their respective categories: GT+ or R-GT. Points will be awarded to the top ten finishers in each category based on the following scale: 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1.
While the top five results will count towards the final classification, drivers must now participate in at least four rallies, including two in each half of the season, to be eligible for the championship and prizes.
The top three drivers in each category will share a prize pool of €7,500 and Michelin tires, a testament to the strong partnership between Michelin and the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy. Furthermore, the GT+ category winner will receive a €15,000 prize, while the R-GT champion will take home €10,000.
A Dynamic and Diverse Calendar
The 2025 Alpine ELF Rally Trophy calendar promises a thrilling mix of terrains, landscapes, and challenging routes. The season kicks off with the Rallye Rhône-Charbonnières, followed by the Rallye Antibes Côte d'Azur. A new addition to the calendar, the Rallye Vosges Grand-Est, will test drivers before the summer break.
The action resumes with the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine, followed by the Rallye Coeur de France. The season culminates with the Rallye du Var, promising a dramatic finale to the championship.
Pathway to the FFSA Two-Wheel Drive French Championship
Alpine ELF Rally Trophy competitors will continue to enjoy automatic entry into the FFSA Two-Wheel Drive French Championship. This provides a valuable opportunity for aspiring drivers to follow in the footsteps of Alpine A110 Rally champions like Manu Guigou (2020), Cédric Robert (2022, 2024), and Raphaël Astier (2023).
