SHERIDAN, WYOMING – November 03, 2024 – Audi Sport customer racing proudly announced that its three customer racing models, the Audi R8 LMS GT3, the Audi R8 LMS GT4, and the Audi RS 3 LMS, all achieved international success in the month of September.
The Audi R8 LMS GT3 won the British Endurance Championship with drivers Peter Erceg and Marcus Clutton. The team sealed its first overall title with its sixth win of the season.
“What sounds like a large gap was a challenge throughout the season against the backdrop of a special handicap rule: According to the regulations, full points are only awarded if GT3 sports cars such as the Audi R8 LMS achieve a prescribed number of laps ahead of the participants in the other classes, depending on the track and lap times.”
The Audi R8 LMS GT4 continued its streak of success in the Championnat de France FFSA GT, winning its seventh title since 2018. The customer team CSA Racing prevailed in the Pro-Am category for the first time this season, with drivers Gaël Castelli and Rodolphe Wallgren scoring points in each of the twelve races.
The Audi RS 3 LMS won its class in the Danish Endurance Championship for the first time. The Storm Development team clinched a narrow title success in the DEC3 category with drivers Stefan Lorenzen and Niels Nyboe.
In addition to these international titles, Audi Sport customer racing teams also won trophies in China, America, and Japan.
"We are extremely proud of our customer racing teams and drivers who have achieved so much success around the world," said Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. "These victories are a testament to the performance and reliability of our customer racing models. We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible products and support, and we look forward to celebrating even more success in the future."
