SHERIDAN, WYOMING - November 06, 2024 - Continental, a leading tire manufacturer, has announced that its SportContact 7 tires have been selected by Brabus for its first-ever supercar, the Rocket GTS. This high-performance vehicle is based on the Mercedes SL and boasts a shooting brake body.

"The Brabus Rocket GTS is a truly exceptional vehicle, and we are proud to have our SportContact 7 tires play a role in its performance," said a Continental spokesperson. "These tires are designed to provide exceptional grip and handling, even at high speeds, making them the perfect choice for this supercar."

The SportContact 7 tires will be supplied in two sizes: 275/35 ZR 21 for the front axle and 335/25 ZR 22 for the rear axle. These tires will be mounted on Brabus Monoblock P Platinum Edition wheels, which were specially designed for the Rocket GTS. The wheels feature five spokes and a central locking mechanism.

The Rocket GTS is powered by a 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers an impressive 1,000hp/735kW. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 2.6 seconds. The engine also produces a massive 1,820Nm of torque. The car's top speed is electronically limited to 317km/h.

The SportContact 7 tires play a crucial role in harnessing the Rocket GTS's immense power. They provide the necessary grip to ensure that the car can accelerate, brake, and corner safely at high speeds.

"The SportContact 7 has proved its mettle, both in the aftermarket and as original equipment," said the Continental spokesperson. "We are confident that these tires will provide Brabus Rocket GTS owners with the performance and handling they demand."

The Brabus Rocket GTS is not the first Brabus vehicle to be equipped with SportContact 7 tires. The Brabus 930 and the Brabus Rocket 1000 "1 of 25" also feature these tires.
