SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 25, 2024 – Lancia is making its return to the rally world with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, a car that combines power and agility. This exciting development is the result of a collaboration between Lancia and Stellantis Motorsport, and it's designed to help young drivers excel in the Rally 4 category. The car boasts 212 hp and top-of-the-line racing equipment developed in partnership with premium brands.

But that's not all – Lancia is also introducing the Trofeo Lancia Rally, a thrilling competition where drivers will compete for a significant prize pool and the chance to race with the official Lancia Corse HF team in 2026.

Starting today, the new Ypsilon Rally 4 HF is available for order through the Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop, priced at €74,500.

For those who crave powerful emotions on the road, the New Ypsilon HF is a high-performance road version equipped with a 100% electric, 280-hp engine, set to hit the market by spring 2025.

Both models have been developed and fine-tuned with invaluable support from Miki Biasion, the motorsport legend and World Rally Champion with Lancia.

Lancia's Racing Heritage and the New Ypsilon

Lancia has a rich history in motorsports, particularly in rally racing. The brand is now looking to re-establish its presence in contemporary motorsport competitions, starting with a return to Rally 4, the category where future rally champions hone their skills.

"2025 will mark the return of Lancia to motorsport as we aim to reestablish our presence in contemporary motorsport competitions," said Luca Napolitano, Lancia CEO. "With a mix of tradition and innovation, Lancia looks to the future with passion and ambition."

The Ypsilon Rally4 HF is a tribute to Lancia's history in rally racing, particularly the legendary Fulvia Coupé HF from the 1960s. It's a compact, fast, and fun-to-drive car designed to provide thrills and excitement.

The car is built on the CMP platform in the MHEV version, a first for Stellantis Motorsport. It features a trellis-shaped welded-tube roll cage for a lighter and more powerful chassis. Under the hood is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder PureTech Turbo engine with 212 hp, modified turbines and exhaust, and a specific engine management system. This powerful and reliable engine is also cost-effective, an important factor for Rally 4 drivers.

The Ypsilon Rally4 HF also boasts a SADEV 5-speed dog ring gearbox, a mechanical limited-slip differential, 330 mm front ventilated disc brakes, and Ohlins three-way adjustable shock absorbers.

The New Ypsilon HF: Electrifying Performance

The Lancia Ypsilon HF is the high-performance road version of the Ypsilon, and it's packed with a 100% electric, 280-hp engine. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, combining impressive performance with a design inspired by Lancia's iconic rally cars.

The New Lancia Ypsilon: A Successful Launch

The New Lancia Ypsilon has already seen a successful launch in Italy, with 10,000 orders placed to date. The car is available in three versions: Ypsilon, LX, and Cassina, each offering hybrid and electric configurations.

Lancia's International Expansion

Lancia is also expanding its reach internationally, with plans to establish a network of 70 new showrooms in 70 major European cities. The brand recently opened showrooms in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, and plans to expand into France, Spain, and Germany in the coming years.
