SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 23, 2025 – In a major boost for motorsport fans and diversity in racing, BMW of North America has announced that Samantha Tan will continue her role as BMW M Motorsport Global Ambassador through 2026. The dynamic 27-year-old Asian-Canadian driver and co-owner of Samantha Tan (ST) Racing will make appearances across North America, Europe, and Asia—bringing her energy, excellence, and passion to one of the world’s most storied automotive brands.
Inspiring Ambassadorship on and off the Track
Samantha Tan’s journey with BMW has been nothing short of remarkable. As the current front-runner in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, piloting a BMW M4 GT3 in the GTDX class, she has already claimed two wins and four podiums this season. Sitting fourth in the championship and leading the Bronze cup, her trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.
“I am incredibly honored to continue representing BMW M Motorsport as their Global Ambassador for 2025 and 2026,” said Samantha Tan. “BMW has played a pivotal role in my journey as a driver, and I’m proud to carry that legacy into new challenges this year—from racing in IMSA with the M4 GT3 to making my debut at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe. I’m excited to keep pushing boundaries on and off the track, and to inspire the next generation of racers around the world alongside BMW."
A Milestone Year with Global Racing Goals
One of Samantha's most exciting moments this year will be her racing debut at the famed Circuit de la Sarthe in June. She’ll be competing in the Road to Le Mans event, driving a BMW M4 GT3 EVO with BMW Team WRT. Sharing the No. 38 car with Gustav Bergstroem, she will participate in two 60-minute races during the lead-up to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans—taking a significant step closer to her ultimate racing dream.
Adam McGregor, BMW NA Motorsport and Customer Racing Manager, praised the partnership: “We are extremely happy to continue our relationship with Samantha for another two years. From her days racing in the M2 to now competing in the M4 GT3 Sam has been an incredible asset to the BMW brand both on and off the track. Her talent behind the wheel of a BMW race car, constant positivity and huge smile are some of the many reasons Sam resonates so well with fans young and old.”
