The Stars of the Hop Top Show Mosaique

In the new Hop Top Show Mosaique, the big picture is made up of many unique images. Each one is unique and indispensable for the whole work. Renowned artists from all over Europe present the bond with their horses in a sometimes fast-paced, sometimes humorous, but always extraordinary way. Together they immerse the audience in a world of fantasy that makes the seemingly impossible possible.

La Camargue au féminin The Camargue from a female perspective is represented by Mélanie Bayle and Les Amazones de la Confrérie. While one paints a more traditional picture of life and everyday life in the south of France, the other embodies modernity. The unifying element between the 18 riders is their love for the customs and white horses of their homeland. Together, they have developed a choreography in which working riding and dressage flow into each other with Mediterranean ease.

Haflingerquadrille Claus Luber Claus Luber's heart belongs to the long blond manes and the good-natured character of his Haflinger stallions. His passion began back in 1977 with Don Camillo, and now 13 sporty chestnuts live on his farm in Untermässing. There they measure their strength especially in front of the cart. In Essen, they always draw new tracks in the sand in a driven quadrille and fascinate with extraordinary figures in a harmonious formation.

Compagnie Impulsion Speed and breathtaking acrobatics on horseback are the speciality of Ghislain Cayla and his troupe of trick riders. Fast-paced and spectacular, they conquer the arena. Their Hungarian post with eight horses always finds new ways to divide and reunite. In this way, different images emerge again and again from the power and dynamics in the interplay between man and horse.

Frédéric Pignon The French master of liberty dressage has found his own and quite poetic language to communicate with his horses. With playful ease he leads them and they follow him. Together they make an extraordinary partnership at eye level visible and tangible. Frédéric Pignon impressively demonstrates that his art needs neither dressage nor dominance, but rather reflects closeness and togetherness.

Guillaume Mauvais He makes heavyweights look light as a feather. His cold-blooded horses move with him elegantly and gracefully. The Frenchman not only breeds his strong types, he also trains them to be the stars of their own show. Whether clowning or high school, they master the entire repertoire. The mighty Comtois stallions with their luxuriant white-blond hangings make the ground tremble and, together with their master, create a living painting.

Jérôme Sefer & Kevin Ferreira Aesthetics and acrobatics are combined by this duo with trust and uncompromising reliability. For only the absolute unity with their horses allows the two trick riders to perform gymnastics on and over them without resorting to saddles or bridles. This unique symbiosis promises unforgettable moments and sets a sparkling stone in the great mosaic.

Kenzie Dysli Her adopted home is Andalusia. It was there that she discovered her passion for the traditional Spanish way of riding - the Doma Vaquera. The Swiss-born rider has long been successful in the sporting variety as well. With her black stallion Fideo, she fuses working equitation and liberty dressage and proves that, despite high speed, any obstacle can be overcome with precision and partnership. A fast-paced spectacle with calculated risk.

Lisa Röckener Showing is her real passion. But together with her gelding Valoo, Lisa Röckener discovered that a harmonious connection needs neither saddle nor reins. The two of them prove on stage how a special friendship can grow out of fairness and consistency. Fresh and colourful, they stage their interpretation of freedom and connection, letting go and leaning. Their performances are far more than rehearsed routines, they are an expression of an attitude to life.

Matthes Röckener What the big sister can do, the little brother can easily manage. Matthes Röckener has been inspired by Lisa for free work. With two and more horsepower, he sets the pace and proves that he can direct his horses from the coach box without a harness and lead. His ideas are innovative, his style sometimes a little wild, but always rousing.

Marie Barcelo & Pierre Antoine Chastang The couple is internationally successful with their mixture of artistry and horsemanship. They fascinated in Cirque du Soleil as well as at circus festivals in Monte Carlo, Paris or Moscow. In Essen they present a lively picture in which they combine their passion for body art at airy heights and on horseback.

Jordi Amposta Flying changes backwards and standing on the horse's back or piaffe with a view of the croup - this artist loves the unusual. His performances are exactly the same. His magic is the seemingly impossible, the unprecedented. He experiments with movements sounds, compositions and creates captivating moments that teach you to marvel. In his new masterpiece, a Lusitano and an Angus cattle find each other accompanied by a cello.

Moments in Black Light spectacle or world record - the quadrille formation from Austria seeks the challenge. Their extraordinary choreographies in the saddle of their black beauties have taken them as far as Saudi Arabia to the Jeddah Festival. Unusual figures paired with circus lessons and a great sense of composition and style make their show numbers impressive experiences.

Tickets for the Hop Top shows on Friday 10 March, Saturday 11 March and Sunday 12 March, each at 7.30pm, are available from the online shop.
