ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme
Maximum power and intelligent cooling for uncompromising performance
The ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme is designed for those who demand it all. It features 20+2+2 power stages, 8+8 ProCool II power connectors, and massive VRM heatsinks, allowing the motherboard to easily handle the full potential of top-tier processors like the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
For users pushing the envelope, the Extreme OC kit delivers essentials such as LN2 mode, a ReTry button, FlexKey customization, and Probelts for detailed voltage monitoring. Easy one-click BIOS features like AI Overclocking, AEMP, Dynamic OC Switcher, Core Flex, and AI Cache Boost enhance both control and performance.
NitroPath DRAM technology significantly boosts memory performance, increasing speeds by up to 400 MT/s depending on system configuration. On the storage side, PCIe® 5.0 support, tool-free M.2 Q-Release, and Q-Latchsystems simplify drive installations.

The ROG Crosshair X870E Apex represents the bleeding edge of memory-focused performance. Designed with just two DIMM slots to reduce interference and increase speeds, it is built to shatter DRAM frequency records—fittingly for the first Apex board supporting AMD CPUs.
It features 18+2+2 power stages, LN2 mode, and a highly efficient cooling design with tall heatsinks, an L-shaped heat pipe, and full backplate metal armor for passive cooling and rigidity. Extensive fan header support, including a W_PUMP+ header and a bundled ROG Memory Fan Kit, empowers advanced liquid-cooled setups.
Like the Extreme, the Apex offers PCIe® 5.0 support, multiple tool-free M.2 slots, and a wide array of connectivity options. Storage includes onboard PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 M.2 slots as well as a bundled ROG DIMM.2 Card. The Apex is rounded out with WiFi 7, 5Gb Ethernet, and a robust USB array including USB4® and USB Type-C® ports.
