In just a few years, NOVA Eroica has become a benchmark for gravel and cycling enthusiasts in Italy and beyond, attracting riders drawn to the beauty of the routes, the meticulous organization, and the NOVA spirit—bringing together those who love to push the pedals and those who seek adventure, fun, and camaraderie. The 2025 calendar will take cycling enthusiasts to some of the most stunning locations in Italy and beyond. Two new destinations—Ivrea and Istria—promise breathtaking landscapes and thrilling routes.

An Event in Constant Growth
Founded in 2017 in Buonconvento, NOVA Eroica has experienced significant and steady growth, attracting an increasing number of riders each year. With over 5,000 participants annually, more than one-third from abroad, and an ambitious goal to reach 15,000 in the coming years, NOVA Eroica has become a must-attend event for the international cycling community. Beyond the numbers, NOVA Eroica represents a cultural movement, built on healthy competition, camaraderie, and deep respect for the territory. The impact extends beyond cycling, with significant economic benefits for local communities, as participants—both Italian and international—immerse themselves in the landscape, culture, and gastronomy of each region, just as L’Eroica has done for Chianti.
More Than Just a Race: The NOVA Festival
NOVA Eroica is not just about competition. Alongside the races, the event features music, talks, tastings, and family-friendly activities like Eroica Family, turning each event into a true festival that celebrates the Eroica spirit and the beauty of discovering new places by bike.
The New Unified Registration Option
For the first time in 2025, riders can register for multiple Italian events (Buonconvento, Gran Sasso, and Prosecco Hills) with a single subscription, simplifying the process and offering a discount. This makes it easier—especially for newcomers—to join a series of events that allow them to explore new territories and experience cycling in true Eroica style.
NOVA Eroica Epic Route
More and more cyclists worldwide are seeking ultra-distance experiences, pushing themselves on long, challenging rides. Since last year, NOVA has introduced the Epic Route, a course of over 200 km, designed to showcase the best of each territory and test both legs and heart. Following the success in Buonconvento, Prosecco Hills will also feature an ultra-distance option, designed by top Italian gravel rider Mattia De Marchi.
