SHERIDAN, WYOMING – October 12, 2024 – Oksana Masters claimed a gold medal in the Women's Para Cycling H5 Road Race at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 at Clichy-sous-bois on Thursday.
Posting a time of 1:52:14 to cross the line first, Masters now has her ninth gold medal and 19th overall medal in the Paralympic Games.
"I knew that I had to stay calm, relaxed and stay in my own race and just hammer down on the climb when it came right before the finish," Masters said. "I'm so proud of my performance. It was an honest, hard-fought performance, and I'm proud of the way I rode today for Team USA."
Masters has gone two-for-two at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, also capturing gold on Wednesday in the Women's Para Cycling H4-5 Individual Time Trials. The results from Paris add to an already legendary career for the 35-year-old, who also owns seven silver and three bronze medals in her Paralympic career.
