SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 28, 2025 – A significant expansion in the Chinese hospitality market is underway as Minor Hotels, in collaboration with its Chinese joint venture, Funyard Minor, and YouChao International Tourism Hotel Co. Ltd., announces the development of the Anantara Thousand Island Lake Resort. This new luxury resort, set to open in October 2027, will grace the scenic banks of Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

The Anantara Thousand Island Lake Resort represents a major milestone for Minor Hotels as it continues to strengthen its presence in the dynamic Chinese market. Spanning 36,000 square meters, the 160-room resort is meticulously designed to showcase the breathtaking natural beauty of Qiandao Lake, renowned as the world’s most island-rich freshwater lake. This development underscores Minor Hotels' commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences while contributing to the local tourism industry.

The resort will feature diverse dining facilities, including all-day dining, specialty, and Chinese restaurants, catering to a variety of culinary preferences. To enhance the guest experience, the resort will offer a comprehensive array of amenities, such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, a refreshing swimming pool, a rejuvenating spa, a tennis court, a serene tea garden, and a unique forest oxygen bar.

The strategic location of the resort provides guests with convenient access to a multitude of cultural and outdoor activities.
