Audi Summer Concerts 2025: A Symphony of Stars and Innovation

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 23, 2025 – Tickets are now available for the nationally popular Audi Summer Concerts 2025, set to captivate audiences from June 21 to July 27. This year's festival promises a high-caliber lineup, a zest for experimentation, and a clear commitment to promoting young talent, ensuring a diverse and enriching musical experience.

Opening with Innovation: An Audi Original Production

The festival commences on June 21 with a unique showcase: the winning compositions from the Audi Composers Competition. In collaboration with the Arcis Saxophone Quartet and LauschWerk vocal ensemble, featuring current and former members of the Audi Young Persons’ Choral Academy, the evening will feature the works of Luis Suria Lorenzo (Spain), Chris Kovarik (Canada), and Antoine Gabriel Brun (France), winners selected from over 140 entries. The jury also gave an honorable mention to Alain Berlaud. These compositions, inspired by the theme of light, will be performed against the backdrop of the construction site of the new Museum of Concrete Art and Design Ingolstadt, offering a fascinating fusion of music, movement, space, and light. The performance will be accompanied by a dance performance, guiding attendees through the new museum.

Promoting Young Talent: A Core Mission

As in previous years, the Audi Summer Concerts 2025 maintains its focus on nurturing emerging talent. This commitment is highlighted by the Audi Composers Competition, providing a platform for aspiring composers to showcase their skills.

Special Performances for Children and Young People

Audi is dedicated to making classical music accessible to younger audiences. The Aurora Orchestra will present a family concert on July 6, featuring their innovative take on Camille Saint-Saëns’ “The Carnival of the Animals.” This performance promises a spectacular parade of movement, stage design, and light, introducing children to the diverse sounds of orchestral instruments.

On July 12, the Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra’s children’s concert, “ADUI,” will take young listeners on a mission with superhero “ADUI” to find the missing Audi rings. This commissioned work by Siegmund Andraschek encourages active participation from the audience.

The Salzburg Festival returns on July 26 with “Berge flüstern laut” [“Mountains whisper loudly”], a musical theater production for children aged 8 and up, exploring the legends and myths of Salzburg. An additional workshop for schoolchildren is scheduled for July 5.

Transcending Genres: A Love of Experimentation

The Audi Summer Concerts 2025 continues its tradition of pushing musical boundaries. The Stockholm chamber orchestra O/Modernt, known for its genre-defying approach, will perform “Crossing over the Atlantic” on July 19 at the Audi museum mobile. This concert will blend baroque, classical, avant-garde, minimal, pop, rock, grunge, metal, and punk, featuring music by Benjamin Britten and hits by Radiohead, Sting, and Pink Floyd.

Performances by Global Stars from the Classical Music Scene

The festival will feature performances by renowned international artists. Star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will perform with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on July 10, presenting the second violin concerto composed for her by John Williams. The program also includes Williams’ “Hedwig’s Theme” from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Accordionist Martynas Levickis will take the stage on July 27, performing his own arrangement of George Bizet’s “Carmen Suite.”

Open-Air Concerts and Community Engagement

The popular open-air classical music concerts will return to Ingolstadt’s Klenzepark on June 27 and 28. The Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and pianist Florian Glemser will perform on the first night, followed by a German–Italian opera night with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt and soprano Hila Baggio. Both events offer free admission.

Audi’s Commitment to Culture

Xavier Ros, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources and Organization at AUDI AG, stated, “Culture and music bring people together, and this is more important than ever in uncertain times. With a unique blend of international stars and emerging talent, the Audi Summer Concerts provide a stage that connects generations. I am particularly proud of the events for children and young people. This is how we enable this young target group to access the world of classical music.”

As the organizer, Audi’s commitment extends beyond event sponsorship, encompassing initiatives like the Audi Philharmonic Wind Orchestra and the Audi Young Persons’ Choral Academy.
