CARAVAN SALON 2024: Full Program for the Caravanning Community

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 26, 2024 – Düsseldorf is set to become the epicenter of mobile leisure as it hosts CARAVAN SALON 2024 from August 30 to September 8. This annual event is a celebration of self-determined and independent travel, offering visitors an unparalleled experience of freedom and individuality.

For ten days, Düsseldorf will be the international capital of mobile leisure, featuring an extensive program, special shows, and a plethora of attractions. Spread over 250,000 square meters, more than 750 exhibitors will present the latest caravans, motorhomes, campervans, accessories, expansion parts, tents, mobile homes, vacation destinations, and camping pitches.

Stefan Koschke, Director of CARAVAN SALON, expressed his enthusiasm: "The development of the leading trade fair for the caravanning industry is impressive. We can top last year's record figures once again and are therefore looking forward to the biggest CARAVAN SALON of all time in 2024. Our 16 halls and the outdoor area are fully booked, and for our visitors, this means an even greater variety of products."

Highlights of CARAVAN SALON 2024

StarterWelt: A Must for Beginners

Located in the outdoor area between Halls 10 and 16, StarterWelt is perfect for those new to mobile travel. Experts will offer recommendations on vehicle types, travel routes, and campsite choices, along with a varied stage program covering all relevant topics on mobile travel.

Self-Conversion Adventure

For the DIY enthusiasts and VanLife fans, the special show "Abenteuer Selbstausbau" will be the go-to spot. Located in front of Halls 13 and 14, Martin Kreplin's team, alongside the explorer and VANderlust magazines, will provide professional guidance on converting or extending motorhomes or caravans. Daily lectures will cover topics such as workshop and material science, electricity and energy supply, heating and cooking, insulation, and floor plan planning.

Traumtouren-Kino and EOFT Films

In Hall 1, the Traumtouren-Kino will take visitors on exciting caravanning journeys to destinations like France, Turkey, Iceland, Patagonia, and along the Pan-American Highway and Trans-Africa. Meanwhile, the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) will offer a glimpse into the thrilling world of outdoor and adventure sports on September 6 at 6 PM in Hall 7.

CIVD Sample Pitch

Between Halls 10 and 17, the Caravanning Industry Association will showcase innovative pitch technology and infrastructure solutions. Experts will be on hand to offer advice on successful planning and operation of motorhome pitches.

Professional Program 2024

CARAVAN SALON also serves as a vital platform for industry dialogue and networking. The "Destination Future 2024" conference area will feature established formats such as "Symposium: Nature.Tourism.Future.", "German Parking Space Day," and "Hiking Trail Quality Day." New additions include the Camping Destination Day, networking evening "Travel Industry meets Caravaning," CARAVAN SALON "InnovationStage," and the Outdoor-Host day.

Camper of the Year 2024

The ADAC will host the final of the "Camper of the Year 2024" on September 7 from 11 AM to 4 PM in front of Hall 10. Finalists from across Germany will compete in various driving disciplines and special tasks to demonstrate their camping skills.

Travel & Nature CONNECTED

For the first time, Hall 7 will exclusively feature tourism-related exhibits, including dream destinations, campsites, and pitches ideal for caravanning. An informative and entertaining program on the "Travel & Nature CONNECTED" stage will inspire visitors to plan their next tours.

E-Bike Course

Visitors can test electric bikes, e-scooters, and electric scooters in the outdoor area in front of Hall 15, reflecting the growing popularity of e-bikes among caravanning enthusiasts.

Rally for Children and Adventure Camp

In Hall 7.0, the Rally for Children organized by the German Hiking Association will offer families various activities and puzzles. On weekends, the Adventure Camp by the Stadtsportbund Düsseldorf will provide games and climbing opportunities for young visitors.

Caravan Center

For those wishing to extend their stay, the Caravan Center on the P1 parking lot will offer around 3,500 pitches, making it the largest parking area in Europe during CARAVAN SALON. Due to high demand, bookings will be limited to 48 hours.

Ticket Information

Day tickets for adults are priced at 19 euros on weekends and 17 euros on weekdays, with reduced rates available for pupils, students, and Club CARAVAN SALON & boot members. Children's tickets cost 8 euros on weekends and 6 euros on weekdays. Afternoon tickets (Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM) are available for 10 euros. Preview Day tickets are 35 euros for adults and 8 euros for children.
