Opening Press Conference: Setting the Stage for Innovation
The event will kick off with a must-attend opening press conference on Monday, March 3rd at 10 am at the Marshall Haus, located in the Summer Garden of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. This exclusive event, open to accredited media members and content creators (also available via livestream in the ITB Navigator), will feature key industry leaders and provide insights into the hottest travel trends.
Moderated by Katie Gallus, the conference will feature Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin, who will present the "planned highlights of the World's Leading Travel Trade Show." HE Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, will provide "exclusive insights into the host country Albania."
Mitra Sorrells, Senior Vice President of Content at Phocuswright, will delve into crucial industry data, exploring "global and European market developments and trends as well as the role of generative AI and social media." Finally, Norbert Fiebig, President of the German Travel Association (DRV), will discuss the enduring human desire for travel, stating it's about "Travelling in times of instability - the unbroken spirit of travel," and will "recap travel industry developments over the past year, highlight travel trends for 2025 and talk about what he expects from the new German government after the general election."
