SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Feb. 20, 2025 – As the official host country of ITB Berlin 2025, Albania will present its rich cultural heritage and fascinating landscapes on the international stage. The host country's appearance begins with the opening press conference and a spectacular opening event on March 3.

"Albania All Senses"

Under the motto "Albania All Senses", the Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment will present the country's impressive diversity at ITB Berlin from March 4 to 6, 2025. As the official host country, Albania invites trade visitors to discover the southeastern European country in the Balkans with all its facets - from unique landscapes to cultural highlights. A varied program with events and interactive experiences offers exciting insights into the destination.

Official opening press conference and opening event on March 3

The Albanian delegation at ITB Berlin will be led by H.E. Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, and H.E. Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, Minister of Tourism and Environment of Albania. The event will kick off with the official opening press conference on March 3 at 10 a.m. in the Marshall House, followed by the grand opening event at 6 p.m. in the CityCube Berlin, which, under the motto "All Senses", will offer an exciting presentation of Albania's cultural diversity.

The highlights of the opening event include a cinematic journey through Albania, live performances by Shkodra Elektronike - Albania's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 -, UNESCO-recognized traditional music and performances of traditional Albanian dances by the Albanian National Ensemble. Spectacular dances such as "Kcimi i Tropojës" - the dance of Tropoja, the sword dance and the dance of Osman Taka will take guests into the heart of Albanian traditions. The National Opera Theater will enchant the audience with a contemporary dance performance. After the ceremony, a culinary reception with Albanian delicacies will take place at 7:30 pm in the CityCube Berlin.

Strong trade fair presence with exciting activities

The official opening tour of ITB Berlin will take place on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:30 am at the host country's stand in Hall 3.1. The opening ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister of Albania, the Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, the Secretary General of UN Tourism and the Managing Director of Messe Berlin. The ceremony will be accompanied by an artistic performance.

Throughout ITB Berlin, Albania will be represented with an impressive 700 square meter stand in Hall 3.1 (Stand 105) and Hall 4.1 (Stand 200), offering trade visitors interactive experiences, networking opportunities and insights into the industry. On all three days, Albania offers a virtual exploration and a multimedia journey through its breathtaking destinations, culture and landscapes.
