SHERIDAN, WYOMING – March 4, 2025 – ITB Berlin 2025, taking place from March 4 to 6 under the motto "The World of Travel Lives Here," has begun with great optimism and record participation of 5,800 national and international exhibitors from over 170 countries. These figures, a 5% increase compared to 2024, underscore the global reach of the world's leading travel trade show.

Global Travel Growth Reaches Pre-Pandemic Levels

According to recent World Travel Monitor® data from IPK International, international outbound travel increased by 13% in 2024, reaching 2019 levels. "This gratifying development is also reflected at ITB Berlin, where the positive mood and strong booking situation further emphasize the optimistic outlook," emphasizes Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin.

Albania Presents Itself as Guest Country

This year's guest country, Albania, presents itself under the motto "Albania All Senses," offering visitors authentic experiences that reflect the country's untouched nature, scenic diversity, and warm hospitality. A particular highlight is the opening ceremony, which offers invited guests a journey through Albania's fascinating landscapes and rich traditions.

ITB Berlin Congress: "The Power of Transition Lives Here"

The ITB Berlin Congress, under the motto "The Power of Transition Lives Here," is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of global tourism. With 200 sessions and 17 theme tracks, featuring around 400 speakers from top companies such as Expedia, DERTOUR, Google, Uber, Booking.com, Microsoft, Wyndham, UN Tourism, TUI, Sabre, and Ryanair, the congress offers exciting insights into the future of tourism.
