Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc. received its second award for their newest product
at the Candy Industry sponsored 2020 ECRM Everyday & Summer Seasonal Candy
Planning Session Aug. 31-Sept. 11. First place winners of the ECRM “Buyer’s Choice
Award” are recognized for the best and most innovative product in three prestigious
categories. ULTIMATE™ 8 Flavor Gummi Bears™, recipient of the 2020 NEXTY Consumer
Choice Award, won first place for best product in the non-chocolate category.
The awards were carefully selected from a panel of judges comprised of retail buyers
who evaluated 98 products in the categories of chocolate, non-chocolate, and novelty.
Each product is evaluated on innovation, point of differentiation, and origin story.
Winners will receive a special callout in the post-program coverage, set to appear on
CandyIndustry.com in October.
