Eurobike and DB Connect join forces for international bike trade show on July 13 to 17, 2022
Friedrichshafen/Frankfurt – Urban mobility centered around bikes is one of the topics which the new Eurobike trade show in Frankfurt is focusing on. As an international meeting point for the bike industry, Eurobike was able to win Deutsche Bahn Connect GmbH, a subsidiary of German railway company Deutsche Bahn and a provider of sharing mobility, as its cooperation partner in 2022. Whether by train to Frankfurt or by (rental) bike via Eurobike lanes specially set up for the trade show: From July 13 to 17, 2022, all routes at the new Eurobike location in Frankfurt will lead smartly and sustainably to the trade show. "With the move to the metropolis and the Eurobike Convention as a complementary mobility platform, Eurobike will become the driving force behind the transformation of mobility. The combination of content and conceptual design embedded in the city, the excellent infrastructure on site and the best national and international accessibility underline our claim as a leading global trade show and the most important live platform of the bike and urban mobility industry," explains Stefan Reisinger, managing director at fairnamic and head of Eurobike.
Frankfurt gets on two wheels: With its offer "Call a Bike", DB Connect is providing a fleet of more than 2,000 rental bikes for the trade show, for which visitors to Eurobike will receive voucher codes. Central rental stations at the city's main train station and additional pop-up stations in the immediate vicinity link local and long-distance traffic to the trade show grounds. With the city-wide road network of bike lanes – some already existing and some extra wide and specially set up for Eurobike – the journey to the event is already a great cycling experience in itself. With the help of the official Eurobike map and equipped with a (rental) bike, even non-local trade show fans are mobile in the city – and environmentally friendly. At the trade show, guarded bike parking spaces offer comfortable and safe parking also for personal bikes.
"Eurobike comes to Frankfurt am Main and “Call a Bike” is happy to be part of it as a mobility partner. We are also looking forward to contributing our perspective as a holistic mobility provider to the exciting events and discussions around the trade show and convention," says Jürgen Gudd, executive director at DB Connect.
In addition, Deutsche Bahn provides a discounted ticket contigent for long-distance trips to the most important meeting point of the cycling community, now available at: https://www.veranstaltungsticket-bahn.de/?event=3105&language=de The comprehensive mobility offer thus enables all participants of the leading bicycle fair a comfortable, car-free and sustainable arrival and departure.
DB Connect will also be present at the trade show itself with panel discussions, events and exhibits on the topic of "Train and Bike" together with other DB companies. In addition to bike sharing, visitors can learn more about further possibilities for combining train travel and bikes, such as the use of folding bikes that can easily be stored in the luggage compartment on the train to save space. In the long term, the aim is to further develop the cooperation between Eurobike and Deutsche Bahn in order to increase awareness of innovative and sustainable mobility offers.
