Downey's Extensive Hospitality Experience
Downey's career has been marked by success in various roles across diverse hotel categories, including five-star luxury, select-service, and extended-stay properties. He has a proven track record in leading hotel openings, rebrandings, and renovations, as well as managing multi-million dollar capital projects.

Prior to joining the Chelsea Hotel, Downey held key leadership positions at prominent hotels in Toronto. He served as the general manager for the Delta Hotel, Toronto, and the hotel manager at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto.
